Cladonia petrophila, a New Species from Eastern North America
Harris RC. 1992. Cladonia petrophila, a New Species from Eastern North America. Brittonia. 44(3):326-330
ABSTRACT: Cladonia petrophila, an overlooked, usually sterile species, morphologically similar to C. apodocarpa and C. caespiticia, is described as new on the basis of its distinctive chemistry, perlatolic and fumarprotocetraric acids, and habitat preference for moist non-calcareous rock.
