The National Park Service has been monitoring dust palliative (CaCl2) applications and chloride in roadside soil solution and surface water for 13 years along the length of the Denali Park Road in interior Alaska. In this report, we describe the results of this program, focusing on the spatial and temporal patterns of chloride occurrence and its effects on the roadside environment. Additionally, we undertake further study on roadside soils describing changes in conditions 2003 to 2016, and on roadside vegetation surveying health in 2015.
