New and Interesting Macrolichens of British Columbia

ABSTRACT: Seventeen species of macrolichens are reported for the first time from British Columbia, including one new species Pannaria leucostictoides. An eastern North American species, Hypogymnia krogii, is segregated from H. enteromorpha and described as new. A new combination, Hypogymnia inactiva, is made and a preliminary key to the Hypogymnias of North America is pre-sented. Additional information on distribution, morphology, and chemical sub- stances is given for 37 species of lichens.
