Teaching of Aquatic Entomology. Research Permit and Reporting System
Courses in Aquatic Insects and Insect Taxonomy provide valuable training for students at Mississippi State University. The Natchez Trace Parkway provides several aquatic habitats that are not present in the coastal plain portion of Mississippi. A field trip was made on April 7, 2017 for students in Insect Taxonomy to collect insects at the following locations on the Parkway: Jourdan Creek, MS, Tombigbee Waterway ponds, MS, and Colbert Creek, AL. No specimens were retained.
