ABSTRACT: The genus Bolbomyia Loew contains three extant and one fossil species and is Holarctic in distribution. Two new synonyms are proposed. The immature stages of this genus are unknown and little is known of its biology. A key to species, descriptions, and distributional summaries are provided for each species.
