The Geologic Resources Division held a GRI scoping meeting for Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area on March 19, 2012, at the headquarters building in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Scoping meetings also provide an opportunity to discuss park-specific geologic management issues, distinctive geologic features and processes, and potential monitoring and research needs. If possible, scoping meetings include a site visit with local experts.
