An inventory workshop was held at Craters of the Moon National Monument on May 12-13, 1999 to view and discuss the park’s geologic resources, to address the status of geologic mapping for compiling both paper and digital maps, and to assess resource management issues and needs. Cooperators from the NPS Geologic Resources Division (GRD), Natural Resources Information Division (NRID), Columbia Cascades Support Office (CCSO), Craters of the Moon NM (interpretation, resource management and superintendent), US Geological Survey (USGS), and local academic researchers were present for the two-day workshop.
