Northern Pygmy-Owls, Northern Saw-whet Owls, Boreal Owls and Northern Goshawks nest within RMNP. I locate active territories and nests. Once the nests are located I monitor the activities of each species. Each fall I operate a banding station at Hidden Valley in the park, where I target both Northern Saw-whet and Boreal Owl. The objectives with this banding project is to document nesting actives within the park, because it is extremely difficult to locate active nests of Boreal Owls.
