Natural Resource Report Template Version 4.2

This template is for generating documents published in the National Park Service Natural Resource Report Series (NRR) using MS Word 2013 and later (earlier versions of MS Word are not recommended). The template consists of multiple files inside a single zip file, and provides working examples and guidance for document layout, peer review, and submitting a final draft for publication. There are hyperlinks that link between files found in the same zip file (instructions, template, detailed format layout guidance, and final checklist), and all files need to be unzipped to the same folder for these hyperlinks to work correctly. To use the template 1) Download the zip file and unzip the contents to your computer hard drive. 2) Read and follow the instructions found in the 1_NRR_Template_Instructions_Tips.docx file to write and peer review your report. 3) When all peer review edits are final, and before you submit it for final publication, use the NRR_NRDS_Final_Checklist.docx file to make sure that your document meets current NRR format and layout standards. 4) Submit your report for final publication using the online Manuscript Submittal Form (https://nrss.sharepoint.nps.gov/prg/nrpm/) (NPS employees only).
