We performed road-based breeding and aggregation surveys for Common ravens, as well as other raptors to identify evidence of predation on the Desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) during the spring of 2016 at Joshua Tree National Park (Park). We found and monitored 95 nests within the Park and observed raven activity at 25 of these sites. An additional 13 nests were found along Park boundaries, 12 of which were occupied by ravens.
