This document is a vulnerability assessment for climate and climate change impacts in the southern Appalachian mountains, especially as relates to Great Smoky Mountains National Park (TN and NC) and the Blue Ridge Parkway (NC and VA). This literature review was completed in part with the assistance of the Template for Assessing Climate Change Impacts and Management Options (TACCIMO) of the USDA Forest Service (website: http://www.forestthreats.org/taccimotool). It will be updated periodically as the scientific literature comes out.
