The CAKN has outlined three research objectives as part of their monitoring plan for arctic ground squirrels including: to determine the distribution and abundance of arctic ground squirrels in alpine areas in DENA. Our current preliminary analysis has addressed how arctic ground squirrels are distributed and their density in DENA.
