The Big Bend – Río Bravo (BBRB) region is a transnational area of conservation interest due to its remoteness, diverse habtats, and large geographical scope. Recent changes in hydrology, climate, fire regimes, and land use have consequentially resulted in the degradation of this highly-valued landscape.
