In 2017, a total of 51 steelhead (6 hatchery, 45 wild) were sampled by 14 participants. Of these, just 2 samples came from within the ONP. Returning wild steelhead had freshwater ages of 1 (15%), 2 (79%), and 3 (6%) years and ocean ages of 1 (9%), 2 (40%), and 3 (51%). Eleven percent of the wild steelhead were returning to spawn a second time. An annual report with additional details of the 2017 Hoh River Steelhead Project will be generated at a later date and available on the WDFW website.
