ABSTRACT: This paper considers the species of Paronychia known to occur in North America, the results being based primarily upon the collections in the New York Botanical Garden, the United States National Herbarium, the Gray Herbarium, the Missouri Botanical Garden, and the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences. In addition, a number of types and other specimens have been examined from other herbaria.
