Rehn JA and Grant HJ. 1956. A Review of the Genus Neotettix (Orthoptera; Acridoidea; Tetrigidae). Transactions of the American Entomological Society. 82(4):217-250
ABSTRACT: The genus treated in the present study is entirely Nearctic in distribution and has no close relatives in the Old World. In its study we have examined in excess of twenty-six hundred specimens, including the types of the three forms of the genus here recognized, as well as the single types (holotypes or lectotypes) on which four names here regarded as synonyms were based, as well as paratypes or topotypic material representing four additional synonymic names.
