ABSTRACT: - Thirty-nine species of Caddisfly genus Cheumatopsyche Wallengren are described, illustrated and keyed, including eight new species: parent urn, nzorsei, flinti, edista, smithi, rossi, vannotei and r iclzardsoni. C. enigma Ross, Morse and Gordon is considered a subspecies of C. harwoodi Denning (new status). New synonymy includes C. zion [=arizonensis (Ling)], C. montr ealensis Nimmo [= minuscutla (Banks)], C. geolca Denning [=enonis Ross]. C. pitella Denning is Plectropsyche pitella (Denning) (n.c.). C. analis (Banks) and C. robusta (Walker) are considered nornina dubia. The Nearctic species of Chleumatopsyche are placed in ten species groups and the phylogeny of the species is inferred.
