The article evaluates the Mesozoic "Age of Reptiles" preserved in the national parks of the Intermountain Region. Petrified Forest National Park (Triassic), Dinosaur National Monument (Jurassic), and Big Bend National Park (BIBE) each preserved globally significant paleontological resources from each of the three subdivisions of the Mesozoic.
