This report presents the administrative, historical, and archeological data for the Bent's Old Fort Historic Structures Report, Part II. The report was prepared to provide the data necessary to reconstruct Bent's Old Fort to its historic appearance. The project construction proposal for the restoration of the fort is included. The structure would house a modern visitor center and administrative facilities. Since the primary period of significance was the Bent Period, the report is largely directed towards the 1833-1849 history of the structure. A brief outline of the events and conditions during this period that contributed to the national significance of the fort is included. Archeological data is provided to identify all artifacts and features associated with specific periods, to provide evidence of the structure's history and to justify the reconstruction work.
