This document is the first abstract on the historical report for the historic structures in the Castolon area. It establishes the the natural and cultural history of the area and the ownership and use of buildings in the Castolon area, with detailed footnotes and bibliography. This was prepared for the Big Bend National Park Superintendent and sent to the Southwest Regional Director for review, as indicated by attached memos. It was determined that it did not contain sufficient material to serve as the basis for Part I of the Historic Structures Report.
