This architectural data section is one part of a Historic Structure Report for the Old North Church at Boston National Historical Park. The Historic Structure Report for the study also contains a historical data section. The park was established to preserve significant structures and properties associated with the American Revolution and the growth of the United States in that period. The Old North Church is included in the park and was being managed by cooperative agreement with the Corporation of Christ Church in the City of Boston. Built between 1723 and 1740, "Old North" is known for the two signal lanterns that were placed in its steeple on the eve of the first skirmishes of the American Revolution. The report provides history, existing conditions, and preservation recommendations that address aspects of the structure. This includes the historic views, plans, architectural style, woodwork, paint color, and proper preservation of the papers housed at the church.
