Synoptic sampling of middle Verde River surface waters with an undergraduate course in the physics and chemistry of the atmosphere and hydrosphere

Parnell R. Synoptic sampling of middle Verde River surface waters with an undergraduate course in the physics and chemistry of the atmosphere and hydrosphere. Research Permit and Reporting System

As part of the labs for NAU's ENV 360, undergraduate students (and graduate students in GLG 575), with supervision from the faculty instructor, must collect water samples along two major tributaries of the middle Verde River and determine the influence of differing geologic and hydrologic terrane on water quality. The purpose of this work is to contrast the water quality of Wet Beaver Creek, dominated by inflow from springs in the Coconino Sandstone and Montezuma Well, with Fossil Creek.
