Tzilkowski CJ, Callahan KK, Weber AS, Marshall MR. 2018. Continuous river water-quality monitoring protocol and quality assurance plan for the Eastern Rivers and Mountains Network: Version 1.0. Natural Resource Report. NPS/ERMN/NRR—2018/1686. National Park Service. Fort Collins, Colorado
This document outlines the means by which continuous river water-quality monitoring data are collected, managed, and reported by the Eastern Rivers and Mountains Network (ERMN). The ERMN uses methods based on United States Geological Survey (USGS) guidance with slight modifications due to programmatic and staffing differences. In addition to a general description of these methods, this set of documents provides information (e.g., monitoring objectives, monitoring design) and detailed instructions (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures) for all phases of continuous river water-quality monitoring conducted by the ERMN; furthermore, this document constitutes a quality assurance plan that documents the standards, policies, and procedures used by the ERMN for the collection, processing, storage, analy¬sis, and publication of continuous river water-quality monitoring data.
