A Revision of the Genus Hilara in Eastern North America (Diptera: Empididae)

Roach WK. 1971. A Revision of the Genus Hilara in Eastern North America (Diptera: Empididae). Ohio State University

This revision is intended to cover only the species of Hilara occurring in the eastern half of North America, ranging eastward from the western boundary of Texas and states directly north, and including all Canadian provinces and territories from Manitoba eastward. Another worker, Dr. Paul Arnaud, is currently revising the western species and when completed the two projects will hopefully complement each other and serve to update the genus throughout the continent.
