This packet includes four sections to accompany the protocol narrative and standard operating procedures (SOP) for Monitoring terrestrial vegetation on Gulf Coast Network parks. Section A describes how the forest monitoring protocol of the Northeast Temperate Network was modified to create the Gulf Coast Network protocol and provides justification for major changes. Section B depicts the park sampling frames and plot locations within focal park units. Section C includes a power analysis of publicly available vegetation data from Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Section D includes Field Datasheets VEG. FORMS 1, 2 and 3, upon which all field data are collected.
