To understand the response of Acadian Flycatchers (ACFL) to changes in hemlock stands (HS), comparisons were made to a previous study conducted in the same locations (Sheehan 2003) and between two habitat types, ravines and benches that exhibit varying levels of hemlock decline. Results indicated a significant decrease overall HS health between study years as well as in ACFL pair density, but bench sites are generally healthier than ravine sites.
