Post-Implementation Assessment: Effectiveness of a Regenerative Stormwater Conveyance Structure in the Anacostia Watershed
Williams M and Filoso S. Post-Implementation Assessment: Effectiveness of a Regenerative Stormwater Conveyance Structure in the Anacostia Watershed. Research Permit and Reporting System
Summary and conclusions Total precipitation volume in the 15-month study period was 49” (1245 mm). The area of the RSC catchment is about 74% that of the control catchment. Baseflow, stormflow, and total runoff in the RSC catchment were 71, 58 and 60% those of the control, respectively. The substantially lower proportion of stormflow in the RSC compared to the control catchment reflects the capacity of the RSC to retain and infiltrate stormflow runoff. Enhanced stormflow retention capacity
