A variety of mammal surveys were conducted to fill data gaps related to mammalian information within the District, but also in a shift to management with the updated State Wildlife Action Plan in 2015. The following surveys were implemented as part of this study: monitoring of meso-mammals, distribution of Eastern cottontail, bat acoustical monitoring and mist netting, small mammal mark-recapture population estimation, distance sampling of white deer and southern squirrel distribution.
