Mycological Studies of the Big Thicket National Preserve. Research Permit and Reporting System
Mycological research for the year 2015 was conducted within the Lance Rosier Unit of the Big Thicket National Preserve. Two mushroom walks in the Lance Rosier Unit were held, one in June and one in November with good citizen scientist participation. In total 139 collections (42 vouchers) and observations were made and include 121 different taxa determined to species and 10 collections that need further taxonomic work. At least 2 species were new records for the Big Thicket National Preserve
