Beginning in April 2015 collections and translocations began. Efforts were focused on a section of Lobos Creek were an artificial pool (Presidio’s water treatment intake) results in an abundant accumulation of the fish attempting to swim upstream. Various methods were used, including seine netting, hand netting, and minnow traps, but it was ultimately found that un-baited, (with or without glow-sticks) worked best for various reasons.
