These standard operating procedures (SOPs) consist of downloading and preprocessing MODIS imagery, extracting pixel values for areas of interest, computing phenology and production metrics and trend over time. The last optional step includes computing water balance metrics for areas of interest and linking the water balance time-series to the NDVI time series for determining vegetation response relationships with climate. Phenology and vegetation production trends do not require water balance.
