Field Methods: 1. Algae - algae will be collected by epilithic scrapes using a delimiter of known area. Samples will be submitted to a laboratory for taxonomic identification. 2. Macroinvertebrates - collections will be made by disturbing benthic substrates of a known area and collecting dislodged organisms and detritus in a slack sampler net. Collected macroinvertebrate samples will be submitted to a laboratory for taxonomic identification. 3. Fish - Fish will be collected using backpack electrofishing and dip netting. A contract taxonomist from TVA will be present on site so fish may be identified on site and released back into the stream. 4. Habitat - Measurements of in-stream habitat will be conducted by surveying stream slope, measuring streambed particle sizes, and general stream channel dimensions.
