This report describes an engineering investigation of Drydock No. 1 at Boston National Historical Park. The project consists of preparation of a report on the condition and leakage problems of Drydock No. 1, recommendations of repairs, and a preliminary cost estimate for repairs. The contract called for the Architect-Engineer to identify and locate sources of water seepage, test water samples, measure the rate of seepage, determine structural deficiencies, prepare a summary of maintenance required for the dock's preservation, and prepare a written report containing this data.
