This report described the work conducted at Mori Point in 2005. Mori Point is a 110-acre parcel of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGRNA) in Pacifica, San Mateo County, California. Data on the vegetation of Mori Point was gathered using the rapid assessment field method as developed by the California Native Plant Society (CNPS). A formal, site-specific classification using ordination was not performed and the plant communities are not fully described. Vegetation communities were delineated for Mori Point in the spring of 2005. A total of 11 alliances and 10 associations were identified in the study area. These 11 alliances represent 9 formation types and 4 classes: forest, woodland, shrubland, and herbaceous vegetation. The vegetation map resulting from this project will be used by the National Park Service (NPS) and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy (Parks Conservancy) Site Stewardship Program (SSP) to assist with site management, restoration, and monitoring activities.
