Four independent surveys for lichens have taken place at the Presidio of San Francisco since 1997. Our recent inventory (20102011) captured 109 species, 78 of which are new additions to the park’s list. There are now 138 species known from the Presidio. Several of our collections are new reports for California and others are range extensions within then state.
