Southeast Alaska Network water quality monitoring SOP 3: Uploading and Delivering Monthly Sonde Output Data, version 2.0

Sergeant CJ, Johnson W, Moynahan B, Nagorski S. 2011. Southeast Alaska Network water quality monitoring SOP 3: Uploading and Delivering Monthly Sonde Output Data, version 2.0. NPS Southeast Alaska I&M Network, Juneau, Alaska.

This reference is for standard operating procedure (SOP) 3 from the FQ-2013.1 protocol package, in effect between 2010 – 2020. Park Leads connect the YSI 650 handheld display to the sonde in the field during each monthly maintenance visit. The season’s cumulative data record (YSI proprietary DAT format) is copied from the sonde to the handheld. Back in the office, the file from the handheld is copied to a network drive using YSI’s EcoWatch or EcoWatch Lite software, then submitted to the Project Leader via email. The FQ_E deliverable is ultimately produced from these raw DAT files (SOP 8). In addition to the sonde data file, the Park Lead emails the site visit workbook Excel (XLSX) file describing monthly maintenance and calibration performed. The FQ_C deliverable is ultimately produced from these XLSX files (SOP 6).
