Sergeant CJ, Johnson W, Moynahan B, Nagorski S. 2011. Southeast Alaska Network water quality monitoring SOP 4: Protocol Revision (FQ_A Creation), version 1.0. NPS Southeast Alaska I&M Network, Juneau, Alaska.

This reference is for standard operating procedure (SOP) 4 from the FQ-2013.1 protocol package, in effect between 2010 – 2020. The water quality monitoring protocol (FQ_A) may be revised as new knowledge, technology, and methods become available, balancing the benefits of advancement with the possibility of disrupting data continuity. Every effort will be made to ensure that a complete, certified protocol is available before the start of a new monitoring season. The SEAN Program Manager, Data Manager, and water quality Project Leader may initiate and must contribute to protocol revisions. All edits will be made with tracked changes and reviewed by multiple SEAN staff. Peer review as required by the Inventory and Monitoring Division will be coordinated by the Program Manager. The final revised protocol will receive a new protocol identifier following the format described in the SEAN Data Management Plan.
