Southeast Alaska Network water quality monitoring SOP 13: CSV Data (FQ_J Creation), version 1.0

Sergeant CJ, Johnson W, Moynahan B, Nagorski S. 2011. Southeast Alaska Network water quality monitoring SOP 13: CSV Data (FQ_J Creation), version 1.0. NPS Southeast Alaska I&M Network, Juneau, Alaska.

This reference is for standard operating procedure (SOP) 13 from the FQ-2013.1 protocol package, in effect between 2010 – 2020. After the year-end FQ_E (raw sonde data) deliverable is certified, the proprietary YSI data are converted to comma-delimited (CDF) format, with one CDF file produced for each site each year, based on the most recent FQ_E. If the final FQ_E from a site is defective, the Project Leader uses earlier FQ_Es to recover as many observations as possible. Next, a SEAN data management application adds columns to the CDF file that support quality control functions, resulting in an augmented CSV file. The Project Leader reviews the CSV and flags erroneous values and procedural exceptions at each site. The CSV files for all sites are packaged into a FQ_J ZIP archive for the monitoring year that is then validated, certified, and published.
