This standard operating procedure (SOP) covers steps for maintenance, deployment, error checking, cleaning, calibration, and storage of the Yellow Springs Instruments (YSI) model 6920V multiparameter sonde with a YSI 650 MDS handheld display/logger (hereafter called the “650”) used in the measurement of the core water quality parameters: water temperature, pH, specific conductivity, dissolved oxygen (DO), and turbidity (in the Taiya River only).
