Franke MA, McDermott T, Lovalvo D, Clingenpeel S, McGinnis S, Varley J. 2013. Bacteria: Geochemistry and Community Analysis. Yellowstone Science. 21(1):15-16

This article summarizes some of the results of the genetic analysis of samples collected during the Molecular All Taxa Inventory of Yellowstone Lake in 2007 and 2008. It was adapted from information presented in “Yellowstone Lake: High energy geochemistry and rich bacterial diversity,” by S. Clingenpeel, R. Macur, J. Kan, W. Inskeep, D. Lovalvo, J. Varley, E. Mathur, K. Nealson, Y. Gorby, H. Jiang, T. LaFracois, and T. McDermott in Environmental Microbiology (2011), 1462–2920. The two lead authors are affiliated with the Thermal Biology Institute at Montana State University.
