This report presents a study of the architecture of the Casa Grande and its functional interpretation. This archeological research formed Phase II of a study of Casa Grande. The relationships of architectural features in the structure have been documented in field notes, elevation drawings, and photographs. This documentation was for use in analysis of the structural history, to assist park management, archeologists, and the visiting public. The report was initiated as a result of National Park Service concern over the deterioration of the structure. An earlier report called for conservation efforts that would involve modifications to the existing structure, necessitating this archeological assessment of the Casa Grande.
