Cape Lookout National Seashore Raptor Banding Research Project

Felch SM. Cape Lookout National Seashore Raptor Banding Research Project. Research Permit and Reporting System

The goal of the Cape Lookout Raptor Banding operation is to conduct long-term monitoring of the status, trends and level of migrating raptors on the Cape Lookout National Seashore. Specifically, I am continuing to look at the capture and recapture rates of migrating peregrines/merlins and the possible time lines between Cape May, NJ and Cape Lookout as well as other banding stations further north, as well as how many falcons might flyby Cape May but are captured at Cape Lookout.
