The eastern slope of Mount Jackson was surveyed for rare plant taxa in late July 2018. Search lists included alpine and subalpine rare plant taxa known to occur in Glacier NP, the Montana Front Range and the central Canadian Rocky Mountains of Alberta and British Columbia on calcareous soils and limestone talus and scree. A total of seven rare plant taxa were found; observations are documented with GPS coordinates and number of plants per observation (Table 4). Due to heavy snowloads this year, additional survey work is needed next year to inventory for rare plant life in the upper Blackfoot Basin.
