Northern Pygmy-Owls, Northern Saw-whet Owls, Boreal Owls and Northern Goshawks nest within RMNP and I locate active territories, and nests. I also monitor the nesting activities of the species in detail. In the fall, I operate a banding station that targets Northern Saw-whet Owls and the Boreal Owls to prove that they nest within RMNP by catching young birds before they disperse from their nesting grounds
