Klamath Bird Observatory operates a comprehensive, long-term bird monitoring program in the Klamath-Siskiyou Bioregion. The objectives of this program are to collect data that provide an index to Neotropical migratory and resident bird species diversity and abundance, to evaluate reproductive success, survivorship, and population health, and to track trends over time in abundance and demographics using a suite of avian monitoring methodologies. KBO also continued its role as a support source for collaborative capture and banding-associated research and monitoring projects by providing technical assistance, community and professional training, and consultation to cooperating individuals, organizations, and agencies. Beginning in 2017 Crater Lake National Park partnered with KBO to operated 2 stations that contribute data to the overall monitoring effort occurring in the region. This report provides a summary of monitoring at constant effort mist netting stations, public demonstration and target-species netting, sampling efforts completed, and associated community and professional training accomplished in 2018.
