In 2018, data from 431 sea otter foraging dives were collected on 8 field trips, totaling 24 days of field work. Sea otters were observed foraging from land-based observation sites at Koitlah Point (in Neah Bay, observations made under Makah MOA # 2016-12), Beach 4 (Kalaloch Area), Giants Graveyard, and Sand Point (Study #OLYM-00048, under NPS Permit #OLYM-2018-SCI-0013), and from the Quinault Indian Nation Reservation near the Hogsbacks (Quinault Permit, Res. No. 15-199-94).
