The first year of study in ENP has provided some interesting comparative data for our previous study in Larry and Penny Thompson Park. At one site in Long Pine Key, near Gate 4, PhD candidate Maria Cleopatra Pimienta chose one site and marked fifty plants, from which she collected flowers to measure dimensions. She made direct observations of flower visitors day and night, and identified most of them using catch and release as well as photographic evidence.
