Ecogeomorphology of the Tuolumne River: Source to Sea

Yarnell SM. Ecogeomorphology of the Tuolumne River: Source to Sea. Research Permit and Reporting System

UC Davis offered an undergraduate ecogeomorphology course from April-June 2018, which included 3 days (June 18-20) in Tuolumne Meadows. Students completed basic stream surveys at three mainstem Tuolumne River locations within the main meadow complex. At each stream, students collected data on basic channel morphology, sediment texture (via pebble counts), and diversity of benthic macroinvertebrates (via field ID-ed kick samples). Students summarized the data in spreadsheets and reports.
