The 2016 Butterfly BioBlitz held in the Colonial National Historical Park revealed rare Creole Pearly-eyes at the Neck O Land area along the Colonial Parkway. The team observed in 2017 the same population of the species and 2018 looked for evidence of caterpillars and brooding pairs of Pearly Eye. They determined the caterpillars were feeding on the known host species and when the broods appeared. Evidence of the numbers of butterflies using this habitat will allow them to continue next
