In the first year of our study we collected from 4 springs, 3 on Chapin Mesa and 1 on Wethermill Mesa. A total of 37 collections were made between the 4 sites, on April 27, 2018. The samples were inspected initial to study all freshwater algae from the sites. In this analysis of the 37 collections, a total of 4 algal division, represented by 40 genera and 48 species, were identified. Blue-green algae, green algae, diatoms and euglenophytes were present.
